Karen's News: As of May 2008, Karen is one of 17 certified professional photographers in Washington! Karen passed a written exam and image review to qualify for this unique honor, which less than 3% of all photographers hold. Huzzah!
This September Karen was flown to Germany to photograph a wedding! This is her second international wedding - 3 years ago she was flown to Switzerland. That album took an honorable mention (2nd place) in the Professional Photographers of Washington state competition. Yes, we do destination weddings!

We specialize in high school senior pictures, baby portraits, children's photography and family portraits. We also do business portraits, weddings and events. We photograph for all of Whatcom County: Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale, Blaine, Everson, Nooksack, Sumas, Acme, Deming, and even as far as Point Roberts and Skagit County. Our home is Washington State, but we travel internationally. (German and Russian spoken here!)
Karen Mullen has over 25 years experience as a professional photographer, is a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America, and is also a member of the Professional Photographers of Washington and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Karen graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 1983.
Giving Back: Karen Mullen is a member of two non-profit photography groups: Celebrating Adoption, which gives adoptive parents a free photo session and a free set of photography proofs, along with a 15% discount off additional portraits. Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep allows parents of stillborn children, or seriously ill children, to have a free intimate photo session and a CD with the best images. Spread the word! We love to give.
